Mexico

Mexico is the latest country we visited in 2025, expanding the map of our coffee journeys around the world.

This time, we came here to get to know the country better and select coffee. Mexico is one of the oldest coffee-producing countries in Latin America. It boasts many coffee-growing regions with tropical and subtropical climates ideal for cultivation, and elevations ranging from 600 to 1,800 meters above sea level. The most famous region is, of course, Chiapas, which borders Guatemala.

We, however, chose the region of Veracruz. Located at elevations above 2,000 meters, it offers a truly unique terroir! The coffee from this region impressed us with its purity and clarity of flavor descriptors — so fruity and clean that it reminded us of coffees from Central Africa! In addition, farmers here grow exotic varieties such as Geisha, various Bourbons, Pacamara, Marsellesa, and others.

We are thrilled and can’t wait to return. Next year, we plan to come back to carry out experimental fermentations here. We are certain the coffee will be extraordinary!
